I began searching the house for frames, and all I could come up with was this tacky natural wood frame. So, I remembered this idea I saw on Pinterest on vintage wood staining, and got to work. First, I took a pocket knife and scraped and gouged holes. Next, I made a mixture of coffee grounds, vinegar, and a steel wool pad, and let that soak overnight.
I wiped this mixture all over the frame and let dry between coats. In the end, I only did two layers. (You can do more if you would like a darker stain.)
Here is the finished product! Just needs a touch of ironing and a place to hang!

Family Portrait
I found this on Martha Stewart's website. It was such a cute idea that I had to try it right away. The chickens I designed myself. Yeah, I know, Martha could have done better. :P
